Arus Zograbyan, MD

Dr. Zograbyan is a fourth-generation physician. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Yerevan State Medical University in Yerevan, Armenia, where she graduated with honors in the top two percent of her class.

Dr. Zograbyan completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center. She has completed research on polycystic ovary syndrome, thyrotoxic cardiomyopathy in pregnancy and the risk factors for perinatal complications in women with hypothyroidism. During her residency, she received two prestigious awards for her research.

After completing her internship and residency, she became a staff member at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in 2003.

Dr. Zograbyan received her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her special interests in medicine include endocrine disease during pregnancy, especially diabetes and thyroid disorders.

According to Dr. Zograbyan, the most rewarding part of her practice is “educating patients about their health and pregnancy, which helps patients to make informed educated decisions and to become active participants in their own health care”.

In her leisure time, Dr. Zograbyan enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, traveling, reading and swimming. She is fluent in Armenian, Russian and Spanish.
