Jennifer Huddleston, a southern California native, attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She later received a second degree from the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine.

Jennifer received midwifery training at the Natural Childbirth Institute and has held several positions as a physician assistant and surgical first assistant for private practices in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive endocrinology/infertility.

She has served as an investigator on research studies involving potential treatments for bacterial vaginosis during pregnancy and vaginal candidiasis infections. She is an International Childbirth Education Association certified perinatal educator and doula trainer. She speaks fluent Spanish.

Jennifer is a regular speaker at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center’s Maybe Baby gatherings and has lectured at the National Organization of Women (NOW) Long Beach chapter on various topics in reproductive health.

Jennifer enjoys working with OB/GYN patients because “a positive influence on the health of a woman ultimately translates into positive effects on the health of her entire family. I enjoy teaching my patients about nutrition and exercise and encourage them to take control of their health. It is always extremely rewarding to see my patients apply healthy lifestyle changes and watch them and their families become stronger and healthier as a result.”

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys travel, exploring other cultures, tending her herb garden, participating in community events and spending time with her kids, ages 20 and 13.
